On format preserving encryption with nonce

Abstract:In this short paper we consider a format preserving encryption when a nonce is available. The encryption itself mimics a stream cipher where the keystream is of a (non-binary) radix R. We give a few practical and efficient ways to generate such a keystream from a binary keystream generator.
