Rapidash: Improved Constructions for Side-Contract-Resilient Fair Exchange

Abstract:The recent work of Chung et al. suggested new formal foundations for side-contract-resilient fair exchange protocols. In this paper, we suggest new constructions that achieve a coalition-resistant Nash equilibrium, and moreover, our constructions improve over Chung et al. in the following senses: 1) we achieve optimistic reponsiveness; and 2) we reduce the amount of collateral from the parties.
