An Improved Remote User Authentication Scheme with Smart Cards using Bilinear Pairings

Abstract:Recently, Fang et al [24] proposed an improvement to Das et al’s scheme [6] to prevent some weaknesses. Further, Chou et al [19] and Thulasi et al [23] pointed out some weakness of Das et al’s scheme. However, the improvd scheme is still insecure to off-line attack. In this paper, we propose an improvement of their schemes that provides the better security compared to the schemes previously published. Further, proposed scheme enables users to choose and change their password by their own choices without the help of a remote server.
